[zz]美国说话术——给插不上话的中国孩纸的句子们

美国也有自己的说话术。但是悲剧的是,我们在中国不管学了多少年英语,不管是新概念新东方新托福还是新鸡阿姨,对这套说话术,毫无接触。稍微礼貌点句子的就只会说“Could you …please?”殊不知,斯坦福在对于国际学生第一天新生Orientation的时候就说,不要经常用这个句子。这个用法是不够礼貌和客气的,虽然是问句,虽然里面有“please”,但是还是一种要求的和轻微命令的语气。

我刚来到美国的时候,最痛苦的事情莫过于上课发言:插不上话。虽然美国人在侃的那些内容有些很浅显不是什么真知灼见,有些甚至很SB,但是他们就是在那里滔滔不绝。有你举手的功夫,或者你在头脑中组织语言的时间,人家已经侃了半天了。我们教育学,一堂课两三个小时,老师说话的时间不超过半个小时,剩下的时间都是大家在神侃(围绕着阅读材料,理论,案例)。如果是你是学文科和社科的专业,这种情况你肯定不陌生。课堂发言的重要性体现在三方面:一,这个占期末成绩的30%,比期中考试还多;二,你上课老是不发言,大家会认为你什么都不懂,大家不会很看得起你,在课外生活中会被边缘化;三,你上课老是不发言,老师会认为你的学习态度不端正,对这个课不感兴趣或者没有读阅读材料。
